I spent an afternoon with a couple of beautiful families for in a little pumpkin patch in Dixon, north of Fairfield.
One of the spouses in my husband’s squadron invited me, and I thought it would be such a cool idea to capture moments with their wonderful children. I personally have never gone to a pumpkin patch so I didn’t have a clear idea of what to expect. That day was also my first foray into family portrait sessions, and working with children has always been one of the more intimidating aspects of photography.
This afternoon ended up becoming a really memorable one. And as I’m expecting our first born in a couple of months, it makes me even more excited to be starting a family of my own. Even to me, motherhood means stepping out of my comfort zone and the unknown is totally okay with me.
